Hi Steve,
I just wanted to say thank you. I've finally tied up the last loose
end on my 'practise' website that I built following SEO4X (pretty much
exactly as you teach) and I'm really happy with the results.
Ofcourse it's an ongoing process but the basics are done.
Adsense scared me the most, but I was surprized at how simple it
actually is (don't worry I only have one link and one, of whatever the
other one's called on my site). I can see how you could easily get a
bit addicted.

You were one of the top seaches in google.

I can't remember what I typed but I'm pretty sure you were 1st to 3rd.

or something along those lines.

If I remember exactly I'll let you know.

For now though all I can tell you were a top google search and than you teach about seo optimization and well at that point it was only a matter of time for me to put 2 and 2 together. Plus you offer wonderful content alone on your website. Real and honest like nothing I've seen before.

Just a short note to compliment you on member's website for SEO 4X, and to let you know that I've joined the forum. Looks like a great forum, will have to spend some time catching up on the various posts.

Your Camtasia videos on the SEO 4X website are just very, very well done. The one on building a .txt sitemap was dead-on. I took a look a while back at the Google Webmaster tools for building a sitemap, and simply said "no way." With your video, my first sitemap was done and up in 15 mins.

Thank you so much for your FREE website course. After all this time I finally have a direction to take toward develping my dream of an online website for making money. I would like to market one (1) product to start with. I want to go online ASAP without any products as long as it's a published website. I'll work on cleaning it up and improving upon it later.

You give so much great information and it is so well laid out that I cannot help get excited about all this. I actually look forward to moving ahead with this dream. I've been wanting to get into online marketing for some time but have never found the right direction, having been inundated and overwhelmed by so much info. Who can I trust? I have spent only a little $ so far and have been easily able to resist the temptation to spend more simply because I don't have money to spend. Basically, I'm broke and my income is small.

I wanted to comment first of all on your GREAT resources and teaching. Maybe I’m prejudiced, because I too am an okie in a rural community. Isn’t it awesome that we can live in these ‘backwoods’ places and still connect to the world (Twitter, Facebook, etc). Y
You and Gabor Olah (think he’s in Germany)are my two favorite teachers on internet marketing.
I have purchased products from both of you. Here’s the reasons I choose you over all the so called ‘gurus’:

1. Integrity (a virtue that most internet markers don’t even know the meaning of)
2. Value - everything you sale or give away adds value to your students/customers.
3. Content - just about everything you write in your newsletter (I have all saved in separate folder in email account)could be an eBook in it’s own right.
4. Generosity - you’re not always ‘hawking’ your products like most newsletters I subscribe to. You’re giving stuff away.

I’ve been a newbie for a while, and I’m now reading your Real Website Pro book, and I wish I wish I had this information when I started internet marketing a year ago. I agree with Steve that Turn Key Websites are not effective at all. Newbies are scared of having to create a website because they’ve never taken a computer science course, and they don’t know what to do. So when some turnkey product comes a long, they pounce on it, and end up wasting more time trying to figure out how to get traffic to this turnkey website than learning it right and optimizing their websites the first go around. You see people all the time on Yahoo Answers asking how to promote their website. They are just completely clueless to the whole process. It’s much better to start off on the right foot.

I have to say that it really is nice to get direct communication with you on matters such as these.

Also, I have just been devouring the information, which has been very well prepared. Your teaching background is truly shining through on all of your material, whether in print, audio or video. With all the scams out there, of which I have fallen for a few, it is nice to see someone who tells it like it is and is approachable to boot.

Even though I paid for the information, I really appreciate you and what you have done.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge at such a reasonable price. It tells me you are really trying to help people instead of just taking their money. You definately should be paid to share your knowledge because it is worth it.

You sound like a pretty interesting fellow as well! I have been watching your videos and reading your content from Real WebSite Pro (and 30 days to Google traffic, AND Back Porch Income)...it has been a marathon session thus far, and I have pages and pages of notes (and several of the PDF's printed out so I can take them to work with me to continue my studying). I think I'll have to re-watch and re-read to make sure I've not missed anything, but already, it feels as though the blinders are beginning to fall away, and I can see a great many of my mistakes in my earlier (blind) efforts.

Already I feel as though I have learned much, and I have to tell you, that was easily the best money I've ever spent. I'm *definitely* planning to use some of my profits from niche sites to reinvest in more of your products to enhance what I'm already learning from the treasure trove I've gotten thus far, so thank you again!!! =D

I've also decided to ask for a year's worth of hosting for my birthday, because after reading and watching, I can't bear all the CSS code that blogger jams into the "top end" of my pages, and I don't want all that working against me. I've spent some time searching for "seo friendly" blogger templates, but even the "cleanest" of these looks pretty wretched after watching your site critiques and examining the source for some of your own sites (learning from the master in more ways than one!).

I don't want to make this too long, as I know you've got lots of folks demanding your attention, but I am enjoying our conversation, and I appreciate the time and attention very much (and another thank you for answering those newbie questions in my last mail...a very good point about forum links being worth traffic via clicks EVEN IF they're "no follow" - I had not considered that!)

But of all of the millions of offers out there, yours is the only one that I've even seriously considered purchasing. You seem like a profoundly straight-up guy and everything of yours I've seen or read has been down-to-earth and fantastically instructive. I just wanted to comment on the 2 keyword tools that I asked you about a couple of days ago. As I mentioned previously, I had purchased both "Keyword Elite" and "AdWords Analyzer" for some projects I had been working on earlier. Both of these tools cost around $200 each, and for that sort of price you'd expect decent results.

Well, after using the AdWords testing method you describe in your course, then comparing the results to both of the keyword tools, I was surprised at the disparity in the results. Both of the keyword tools gave inaccurate counts of result sets returned for a given keyword/phrase on Google, while checking for exact matches.

Most of the other results returned were quite accurate, but the number of results returned for a given search term is quite critical to the success of your methodology, if I understand it correctly. Were I relying only on the keyword tools, I would have missed a large number of potential marketing areas.

Why I had never thought of this method myself is a mystery to me! I've been using AdWords for several years, but never really thought of it as a testing bed.

Thanks for making your AdSense Connection course available at such a reasonable price. Just the AdWords testing idea is worth several times the course price, and I speak from real experience!

Hey Steve, We had a short chat yesterday on twitter about running. Would like to hear more about your experience when you get a chance.

I really like the Twitter program I purchased yesterday . I think it could be a great tool for almost instant results and target marketing once I get my followers base up. I had about 72 before the program yesterday morning then pruned my followings way down like you to-do in the video. Then went to Twellow and found some key people in the dating for men category. After starting with 72 follower yesterday I am now up to 260 at last look.
I've then used the tweetburner to track the clicks on different subjects that I tweet. Finding I get between 10-15 clicks per tweet.

This mite be the best $5 buck I ever spent...:)

My name is Terry (a very "senior" citizen) from Melbourne Australia. For some time now, I have been
involved in the "Learning Curve" of how to make a full time Living, from the comfort of my home,
through a reasonable on-line business. My bank manager tells me to add - at some considerable cost - to me.
In that time I have enrolled (and paid for) an array of online internet marketing training courses
"Howto's", Bought the Latest and Greatest programs, "must have" products,etc. and became a
paid up member of many of the "Expert" sites. It took me that time (and cost) to understand the simple fundamental:-
You first need to learn how to "separate the wheat from the chaff" out there and become "An Expert at the Basics".

begin the "Separate it" bit. I am glad that happened and am looking forward to moving into the "Expert at Basics bit"
then who knows! I may then be able to finally achieve my original goals by finishing my project under Steve's guidance.

I just want to introduce myself. My name is Erin, I ran across Steve about a year ago and ordered his products. Ifound it to be the most honest and straight forward information I had found. I also came to realization that there were alot of things that I needed to learn. I had a website at the time, but was depending on other people to do part of the work. For the past year I have been taking classes, it took a bit longer than expected. The only class I could find for Dreamweaver was from a community college and there were prerequisites that I needed to take. I am glad now that it turned out that way, all the classes were great. I feel like I am coming back with some of the knowledge I need. As I learned from Steve there really are no short cuts.

So now I just need to put all this knowlege to work. I have no idea where to start. SMILE
