2 Questions for Internet Marketers More than likely you are ready and willing to "pay your dues" and put in the time and sweat required to see results. Yesterday a new student told me that he finally understood that all of his skipping around to the next latest greatest "get success quick" scheme had not only wasted a lot of his money, but it had delayed his success. He was now ready to knuckle down and do it right. But he, and maybe you too, suffers from a problem I see with many of my students; they are ready and willing to work hard, but they just can't see where to focus their energy. Does that sound like you? If so, first let me tell you what does NOT work. The universe does not usually reward people without an exchange of value. In other words, if you want value from the world, you have to offer it first. Only in rare situations is this not true.such as winning the lottery. Sure, you could add value to the world by making AdWords ads so good that they help people find exactly what they want; your affiliate ad helped them find what they were looking for. That is a mild example of adding value to the world. Since it's a pretty small, and some would call a "lame" example, the success rate there is EXTREMELY small. Just remember that the less value you add to the world, the more difficult it will be to get value back. If you always remember that, your search for "what to do online" just became a LOT easier. When an idea pops in your head, first filter it with the question of how much value could the process offer? If the answer is "not much", then you have a pretty good idea of what to expect in return. You may wonder about AdSense sites. What value could they possibly add to the world? Look at it like this: The higher quality the information on the site is and the easier you make it for people to find that information (using SEO), the more value the site will return. About.com is a great example. Its sole reason for existence is the revenue it earns from the AdSense and affiliate links it displays. But just think for a moment about the MASSIVE value that site offers the world. It's hard to imagine the income that site earns each month. Now compare it to one of the gillion copy and paste AdSense sites out there that make their owners only pennies per month. See what I mean about adding value to the world? OK, before you can progress down the road leading to the success you want, you have to answer these questions: 1. What is the value you can offer the universe in trade for the value you want? 2. How can you offer that value in a way that makes it easy and natural for value to be returned to you ($$)? You can't and won't pass go until you answer those two questions. Remember, the more value you offer, the more you will receive in return. Answering question #1 above is entirely up to you. However, the second question is where I can help. If you already have SEO 4X, then you have in your hands the answer to question #2. Even a great idea will fail without traffic. There is not a more efficient and economical way to reach vast amounts of people than with the search engines. Additionally, SEO 4X has the bonus iNichePro package. It shows you how to determine if your idea is feasible to go with as an online business or not. Let me know if you have questions! Steve Weber |
