Internet Marketing & Weed Killing ...Huh?? I know, it sounds crazy; killing weeds and Internet marketing?? I had this thought while I was running. During my run on our trail I noticed some early-season weeds sprouting. I made a mental note I needed to get the sprayer out. That’s when I made the weed killing/marketing connection. Stay with me; I am about to make a profound point you need to understand! Here’s what I mean: Herbicide is quite expensive. A few times in the past I have tried to skimp on the amount I mix with the water in the sprayer; the result was a too weak mixture. Guess what happens then. The mixture does not kill the weeds. I wasted not only the herbicide I mixed the first time, but ALSO I wasted my time required to spay the worthless mixture. For that mistake I have to mix a new batch and spray the entire area again…this time with the right mixture. My cost and time were simply wasted by not mixing the spray correctly. Many beginners make the same mistake with online marketing. For example, they’ll decide to use something like Twitter or FaceBook to drive traffic to their site. They register and begin with great enthusiasm. The beginner often has good intentions, but then does not follow through. They invest time into the project, but not enough to begin seeing results. As they lose focus and/or quit, they have lost all the time they invested. Even worse is the fact that the beginner often repeats this pattern over and over…never getting traction with anything they do. There are many powerful marketing methods which work well. Find one or two that fits your style and dig in for the long haul! Only then will you begin seeing the payoff! One of my chosen methods is Twitter. |
