Are Vendors Stealing Your Commisssions?
Don't risk wasting time and perhaps money by making mistakes
promoting affiliate products in your online marketing venture. I have a short checklist for affiliates below which includes how vendors could be taking your commissions!
A quick side note about "Type at Home" and "Data Entry" scams:
If you have been unfortunate enough to be scammed by any site like
this, request a refund! Nothing these sites tell you will do you
any good or result in any success.
Affiliate's Quick Checklist:
1. Visit the vendor's sales page via your affiliate link. Be sure
the page is working fine. Also, make sure your affiliate network
buy button is the only buy button on the page. If you promote the
page with a ClickBank link and the vendor has put a PayPal buy
button on the page instead, you WILL NOT get credit for sales! Do
not promote the page if there are multiple types of payment
buttons! Many affiliates waste time and money promoting products
they will never get a commission for because the vendor's buy
button is incorrect! The vendor will get ALL the profit from the
traffic you send!
2. An affiliate is well advised to keep an eye on the sales page
over time and recheck #1 above on a REGULAR BASIS!
3. Do not use AdWords to promote any product without first
educating yourself about the program. An AdWords campaign is VERY
easy to start...but it is virtually impossible for a beginner to make
money with. I work with many Internet marketing beginners and have
not heard of one single beginner who was successful with AdWords at
first. If you wish to learn and use AdWords, I highly suggest Perry
Marshall's Free Five Day Adword's eCourse.

4. Buying any kind of email "blast" list to promote a product with
is a complete waste of money. Many of these offer to send "a
million emails" for $29.99; they simply don't work.
5. Posting ads here and there to free classified sites is not going
to work either. When is the last time you or anyone you know ever
purchased anything from an ad they saw on a free classified site?
6. focus on building and promoting (Learn SEO well) your website.
You website is where most of your affiliate marketing earnings will
come from.
Beginners to affiliate marketing will not have success
tomorrow or next month! The opportunities are great. However, time
studying and learning the correct methods is a definite requirement!
