A person emailed me about my AdSense Connection
product. He was VERY interested in purchasing the package and said
he had 5 or 6 sites which were not doing well with AdSense. He wanted
to know if he could send me the links for a quick look.

Oh My! It took me about 2 seconds on each site to see what he was
doing. I wrote him back and told him, at best, Google would
penalize his sites for duplicate content violations. At worst,
Google would ban the sites for spamming! My guess was that Google had
already done or will do the latter.

He never wrote back again. I guess he did not like my
"no-sugar-coating" style. By the way, if you happen to be this person,
I am sorry if I offended you about your sites. I just call them like I
see them.

The sites were nothing but ads. Some of them had a little content, but the
content was lifted from other sites with an automated script I think (a
method called scraping) or they were simply duplicated templates.
Of course the content would be duplicate and penalized.

Before you even THINK about anything else with respect to AdSense,
you MUST consider HOW your sites will add value to the world. If
your site offers no value, you will have little success with online marketing.

Your site does not have to contain a dissertation on nuclear
physics to be of value! One of my little sites enjoys success
because people like the pictures. Another site is successful
because I simply took common information and used SEO to make it
even easier to find. Several sites of mine make it easy for people
interested in a certain niche to communicate with each other.

None of my AdSense sites offer what I would call tremendous value,
but they DO offer some.

If you have a hard time coming up with how your site adds value to
the world, you have a problem.

All things being equal, the more value your site can offer, the
more successful it will be. There are no shortcuts to this! There
are no scripts you can buy which "create" value. There are no
templates you can use which create value on their own. There are no
