AdSense Success with Low Traffic keywords
Is it really worth going after low-traffic keywords? Should you
spend your time creating and optimizing a new page with a
low-traffic keyword if it might only receive 8 or 10 page views per
day? Will your marketing efforts pay off in this case?
Adding a page to your site creates more value for the site than can
be measured with just the page by itself. What I mean is that a
site made of 100 pages, each with keywords only searched 500 times
per month on average, is more valuable and will be considered more
of a theme site than one with a single page optimized with a
keyword which gets 50,000 searches per month. The larger site will
prove MUCH more successful with AdSense!!
However, let's just look at the one page all by itself.
An Important Side Note:
Keep in mind that many free keyword tools only look at one or two
search engines at most. Also, remember NEVER to trust the keyword
tools 100%; always run an Adwords test campaign to make sure there
really are people searching for those keywords.
Say you optimize well and actually do get 300 views per month from
all traffic sources combined. Using my own AdSense sites' average
CPM last month, that one page could produce $864 over the coming year.
Not bad for the hours work I spent creating the page!
